Regulatory Wayfinding Sign location guidelines:
From Town of Marana Resolution 2010-86.
The Town shall determine and control the location of all Regulatory Wayfinding Signs. The location of each Regulatory Wayfinding Sign shall be approved by the Town Engineer for safety giving due consideration to all of the following:
- Clear zone issues.
- Sight visibility issues.
- Driver distraction issues.
Regulatory Wayfinding Signs shall be located only on Town arterials and collectors and only at the following locations:
- Preceding major intersections.
- Following major intersections.
- No closer than one mile intervals for roads with no major intersections.
The Town shall control the copy of all Regulatory Wayfinding Sign panels.
Panels are available for the following allowable uses:
- New residential subdivisions located in Marana.
- Plate legend must include builder name.
- Plate legend may also include builder logo.
- Plate only allowed after a sales office is operational.
- Plate is removed when sales office is closed or no longer selling subdivision lots or homes in Marana.
- New residential apartment complexes condos and timeshares located in Marana.
- Plate legend must include project name.
- Plate legend may also include a logo.
- Plate only allowed after leasing office is operational.
- Plate allowed to remain while construction is ongoing and until six months after C of O of most recently completed residential building.
- Public and quasi public destinations.
- Government facilities open to the public.
- Urgent care hospitals and clinics.
- Libraries.
- Parks.
